Torlon® 4203 is a high-performance unfilled polyamide-imide (PAI) material belonging to Solvay's renowned Torlon® product portfolio. As an unreinforced grade pure PAI, it retains the intrinsic superior properties of PAI without any reinforcing fillers, offering exceptional versatility and reliability for a wide range of demanding applications in harsh industrial environments. Its balanced combination of thermal stability, chemical resistance and mechanical performance makes it a preferred choice for precision components requiring consistent performance at extreme temperatures.

✨Core Properties:

·Thermal Performance: It delivers outstanding high-temperature resistance, with a continuous operating temperature of up to 260°C (500°F), a glass transition temperature of 270��C (518°F), and a heat deflection temperature of 278°C at 264 psi. This ensures stable performance even under significant thermal fluctuations.
·Mechanical Strength: As a pure PAI grade, it exhibits excellent balanced mechanical properties, featuring a tensile strength of 192 MPa, a tensile modulus of 4.9 GPa, and a flexural strength of 244 MPa at 23°C. It also possesses good fatigue resistance, creep resistance, and a notched Izod impact strength of 142 J/m, maintaining structural integrity under both static and dynamic loads.
·Dimensional Stability: It has a linear thermal expansion coefficient of 30.6 × 10⁻⁶ m/m/°C and controlled mold shrinkage (0.60 to 0.85% in flow direction), ensuring acceptable precision for finished components.
·Chemical & Environmental Resistance: It demonstrates superior resistance to most organic solvents, acids, and bases, along with excellent hydrolysis and aging resistance. Compliant with RoHS and UL94 V-0 flame retardant standards, it can withstand multiple sterilization methods (autoclave at 134℃ for 30 minutes, ethylene oxide), meeting stringent medical and industrial hygiene requirements.
·Processing & Appearance: Available as natural/off-white pellets, it is processable via injection molding, extrusion, and machining. Its excellent electrical insulation (dielectric strength of 23.6 kv/mm) further expands its application potential in electronic, aerospace and medical fields.
